Medical Student’s Dream Come True: Studying MBBS in China

I’m Fatima Ali from Islamabad, and I’ve always dreamt of becoming a doctor. However, getting admission to medical school in Pakistan is extremely competitive. After my F.Sc. pre-medical exams, I scored 88% – good, but not enough for top medical colleges in Pakistan.

My family and I started looking at international options. We discovered that China offers world-class medical education at a fraction of the cost of Western countries. Many Chinese universities offer MBBS programs in English, and the degrees are recognized by WHO and PMDC.

Global Consultants helped me get admission to Xi’an Jiaotong University, one of China’s top medical universities. They assisted with the application process, which included submitting my transcripts, recommendation letters, and medical examination reports. They also helped me apply for the CSC (Chinese Scholarship Council) scholarship, which I was fortunate to receive.

The scholarship covered my tuition fees, accommodation, and provided a monthly stipend of 2,500 RMB. This made studying in China incredibly affordable. The consultants also helped with the X1 student visa application and JW202 form.

I arrived in Xi’an in September 2022. The university campus is modern and beautiful, with excellent facilities. The program is 6 years (5 years of study + 1 year of internship). The professors are experienced and supportive, and my classmates come from all over the world.

The living costs in China are very reasonable – much lower than in Pakistan. The food is delicious and affordable, and I’ve made many friends from different countries. The university provides excellent hostel facilities with all modern amenities.

After completing my MBBS, I plan to return to Pakistan and pass the PMDC exam to practice medicine. The quality of education here is excellent, and I’m confident I’ll be well-prepared. Studying in China was the best decision I made, and I’m grateful to Global Consultants for their guidance.
